Wear-it Wednesday; Windy Day Fashion

Let's face it, sometimes it's nice to be a Marilyn in a world full of Audreys, but on a windy day? Not so much. As someone who basically lives in dresses and skirts, a windy forecast can be my worst enemy. With a little bit of sensible thinking however, style does not have to be sacrificed because of the weather. I've put together two different outfits that work for warmer and cooler weather, for all you pant-haters out there like me. Check it out:

Tip: midi skirts are perfect for windy weather due to their practical length. However, be sure to opt for a midi skirt that's made of a woven/heavy fabric, as it will weigh down the skirt, keeping it from blowing around in the wind.

Tip: bold and simple are two key words for the fall and winter seasons. When wearing a skirt or dress, especially when the forecast calls for a storm or intense winds, opt for something that hugs the body. Not only will this reduce the amount of cool air that touches your body, but there also isn't room for the skirt or dress to move in the wind. Don't forget to add a pair of sheer tights to the mix!

If you're ever in need of some serious style inspiration, check out websites like Polyvore, and even Pinterest. These websites give you the ability to search anything that your heart desires and can really help when you're stuck in a fashion rut.

Remember that there are no posts on Thursdays, so keep your eye out for an awesome, dare I say Pokemon related post this Friday!
